In this retreat, set in a beautiful Franciscan retreat center among 55 acres of gardens, orchards, and open space near the base of Mount Diablo in the east San Francisco Bay Area, we will explore our deep heart and ground — primary portals for discovering of our true nature as open, loving Awareness — via silent meditation, meditative inquiry, talks, experiential conversations, body sensing and gentle movement.

Silence will be strictly observed outside of meeting times beginning at the end of Monday night’s meeting until the end of the closing circle on Friday.

We require that you to attend all meetings and stay until the end of the retreat. Please bring a yoga mat, if possible. There will be two sessions of gentle movements and body sensing per day that can also be done while sitting upon a chair.

Program Details

Dates: Monday, Nov. 17 - Friday, Nov. 21, 2025

Times: Check-in is between 2 – 4 p.m. on Monday and departure is 1 p.m on Friday after lunch.

COVID-19 Policy
We request that you self-administer a rapid antigen Covid-19 test 48 – 24 hours before arriving. You will not be asked to verify a negative result. If you don’t feel well, please stay home and take care of yourself. If someone tests positive while on retreat, we ask that they leave immediately and find appropriate medical care. The group will mask-up for the remainder of the retreat in order to protect our most vulnerable members. Please bring a mask in case you will need it. Covid-19 tests will be available at the retreat.

Transportation

The Oakland Airport Is closest to Danville, however, there is no direct public transportation from the Oakland Airport to Danville. An Uber ride will cost about $55. and the average time of the ride is 47 minutes. Allow for extra time during commute hours between 3 – 7 p.m.

The closest Bay Area Rapid Transit station is in Walnut Creek. There is bus service from there to Danville. Please consult local BART and bus schedules for details.
